DSLA Students Present at MACUL
More than 150 students from across the state displayed their technological prowess at Cobo Hall during the MEA/MACUL Student Technology Showcase on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Included among the participants were DSLA students who demonstrated their computer skills. The event was part of the Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) conference. Detroit Service Learning Academy recieved a certificate of recognition for their contribition of technology intergration in the class room.
DSLA Students featured in National Heidleberg Project Video
DSLA students help Heidleberg celebrate 25 years of service and committment to the community by hosting an anti bullying campaign on Tuesday March 22, 2011. The special guest speaker was Linda McLean, artist, educator and author of the book about Tyree Gibson. See students featured in the video (2.50).
